Wright Way Learning Scholarship for students with Learning Challenges (Fall of 2018 Semester)
Hey everyone!
My name is Jaylen Wright, and I am currently a graduate student at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing my master's and doctorate in the area of Health Behavior and Health Education with research interests involving learning behaviors and their effect on student and student-athlete mental health outcomes and the utilization of academic support services.
My personal journey as a youth with learning disabilities and the desire to maximize my academic and athletic performance as a collegiate athlete are aspects that motivated me to create this scholarship opportunity for graduating high school seniors who've battled with learning challenges in and out of the classroom.
It took me until being a college-student to respect and realize the value of having the money to purchase expensive college-level textbooks. The scholarship amount is currently set at $500 per student, and is meant to be a financial "kick-start" to their initial college expenses (i.e. BOOKS, school supplies, or minor living arrangement items). By running Track at Texas A&M University, I had the privilege to have my books paid for. Therefore, I'd like some fantastic current HS seniors to enter college with the same financial gift that I had.
The WWL Scholarship provides students with a financial "kick-start" to their first year in college. WWL Scholars show a determination to redefine their learning experiences and challenge the misconceptions of what it means to be academically successful.
While the short term goal for these donations is to go towards providing at least 5 students with a $500 college scholarship for the Fall of 2018 semester, the long-term goal for this scholarship is to grow into abundance where I can not only provide higher amounts per student, but to continue to run my non-profit business of Wright Way Learning.

We have 1 month to reach at least $2,500 in order to provide $500 scholarships to 5 amazing students! Application opens April 15th! Please share this opportunity to donate towards student success.
Please feel free to navigate my starter-website and read more about the services and purposes of WWL! (https://www.wrightwaylearning.com/)
The Wright Way Learning Services were created to provide students and their parents with the academic and personal resources needed to physically and emotionally support the student and their success both in and out of the classroom.
