Warrior Songs is a 501.c.3 non-profit that brings healing to veterans through songwriting and the creative arts.  Every other year our “Story to Song” program releases a compilation CD consisting of veterans stories turned into songs.   “Women at War: Warrior Songs Vol. 2” will feature 14 stories turned into songs, brought to reality by the most talented women musicians on the planet!   12 songs come from the stories of women who have worn the uniform, while two songs will focus on women who’ve lost loved ones in the combat zone.

Warrior Songs only creates songs from first hand testimony.  Warrior Songs has been collecting testimony from women since 2011.  In 2017, we moved to the production phase.  We need your donations to make this CD a reality.  The CD will release November 2018.  1000 physical CD’s will be created which will then be distributed to veterans free of charge.  Civilians can purchase copies for $15.00 postage paid.  Digital copies will be available at iTunes, Spotify, and all major digital distributers.

Please share our video often and across as many multiple social media platforms as you can.   We will post regular updates as the fundraiser progresses.   Below is our budget.  7 years of collecting testimony, over 20 women veteran contributors, over 30 women songwriters, artists, and vocalist coming together in the studio.  Will you help this CD become a reality?

Budget                                                                         $13,500
14 songs @ $400 per song                               $5,600
Travel                                                                            $2000
Pressing 1000 CD's at                                        $1891
fundraising (fees & commissions)                 $1000
Graphic design                                                         $500
Promotion                                                                  $500
Misc.                                                                              $209

Total                                                                             $11,700

If we raise more than our goal we will use the excess funds to make even more CD’s available, free of charge, to veterans and organizations working with veterans and healing veterans

Change the narrative, speak honestly about the issues facing women veterans, let those who’ve suffered similar traumas know they are not alone, and to honor those who’ve not only survived, but found a way to thrive and become beacons of hope for others to follow!

Warrior Songs – healing veterans through music and the creative arts.

“Warrior songs creates projects that elevates the voices, narratives and experiences of women veteran utilizing music and musical creative expression as the instruments. I am deeply honored to be included in a project where You Are Not Alone was cultivated to bring a voice of solidarity specifically for military sexual trauma survivors and generally for anyone who experienced loss in their lives. It gives me great pleasure to participate in programs that enrich the lives of women veteran including Women Veteran Advocates like myself. Please consider supporting these endeavors as I have.”  Warrior Songs Vol. 1, Veteran contributor BriGette McCoy - CEO/ Founder, Women Veteran Social Justice

“All of this is just so amazing. I am moved beyond words that my story has a voice. Moved beyond words.... I am grateful to be seen, heard and given voice. I can't find all the words to express my gratitude” Warrior Songs Vol. 2, Veteran contributor Samantha G

Thank you to everyone who has contributed. Our fundraising efforts have fizzled out a little bit. To make this project fit our budget we are going to cut two songs from the line-up. This will leave us with 14 fully produced songs and lower the budget by $1,800 to $11,700.

This also means that we have all 14 songs ready to go into the studio and everything is on track for an 11/10/2018 CD release.

In an effort to help with fundraising, I am pleased to announce the following benefit concerts.
