Vivace Performing Arts

Greetings from Vivace Performing Arts! 

Our goal is to raise $1,000 by October 2018, and we need your help! 

We are a non-profit organization at Yokota Air Base, Japan that serves all ages and ability levels through community theatre productions. It's not cheap: Producing a show like Guys and Dolls and Little Shop of Horrors costs thousands of dollars to pay for rights to the script and musical score, for costumes, makeup, and set construction, and promotions. It also takes a lot of elbow grease for months in advance by the volunteers who make our organization run. We run a very tight ship by producing plays with as much thrift as possible. But it's still a challenge to stay afloat.

We came together hoping to foster a community outlet for (and by) our military community within Yokota Air Base. Performing arts communities are very rare on military installations, and we are very proud to be offering performing opportunities for our military members and their families while overseas! Our goal is to "provide opportunities for self and community growth through plays, musical theatre, and performing arts."

In 2018, we would love to expand our offerings to include free classes, more low-cost performances, and community outreach! To do this, we need your help! 

In order to prepare these events for the upcoming season, we're turning to you, our community, for help. We're hoping that you'll make a contribution with the understanding that in doing so, you're giving the gift of music and theater in a community that very much appreciates it. And that's a gift that keeps on giving for a long, long time.
