Hello Everyone!
Firstly, THANK YOU so much for your on-going support!
As most of you know, I will be running for the title of Miss New York USA in January, where I\'ll be representing Queens College, my Alma Mater.
I\'m very excited for this opportunity and ready for the whirlwind of experiences I will gain from competing to represent the great state of New York. We are the greatest city in the world after all aren\'t we?
When I was younger, I used to drape toilet paper around my shoulders, put on my grandmother\'s crown and my mother\'s heels and parade around the apartment competing in a pageant of my own imagination. In the next few months, this childhood dream will become a reality! I\'m very grateful for everyone\'s encouragement and support.
I am raising money for my entry fee ($2000) into the competition as well as:
An evening gown
A swimsuit
An interview outfit.
Grooming: hair/makeup/teeth whitening
I estimate that I will need about $5000 to cover everything.
The money collected will also go towards the SUSAN G. KOMEN for The Cure Breast Cancer Non-Profit Organization. My mother and grandmother are both survivors of breast cancer and it is a cause dear to my heart. If they didn\'t get early detection treatment, their road with cancer might\'ve had a different outcome. I have pledge forms I can e-mail to you if you\'d like to also pledge directly!
