USA Basketball Tour: Amari DeBerry Family Support

Donation protected

I'm so excited to announce that at the age of 15, my 6'5" sophomore cousin Amari Deberry was just selected to represent Team USA  Basketball in Chile!!!  Please help me raise funds to help with the significant ongoing travel expenses for her family.

Amari has been working so hard and dedicated for many years to achieve this incredible opportunity and I couldn’t be more proud. She has had full support and years of sacrifice, dedication and commitment from her mom, Veronica Nowacki, (a former basketball player) who works as a nurse and has been a full-time single mother, raising Amari and her sister Naomi  on her own since they were toddlers.

The girls played together for Williamsville South in the NYS championships last year and have continued to make many road trips for travel tournaments, including Philly where Amari plays for the Philadelphia Belles, an elite youth basketball league and Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center where Amari  competed in the 2019 USA Basketball 3x3 U18 National Championship and the 2018 World Cup team trials.

Of course these trips have required significant investment of time and money to be able to pursue. It has not come easy, but these three young women are incredibly close both on and off the court.  They are resilient each on their own but are the strongest when they are three together. They are all role models to me in so many ways.  There's no doubt Amari could be where she is today without her mom and her sister by her side!

We're so proud that Amari will be travelling this summer to Chile to represent Team USA for the FIBA America's Finals and then hopefully to Romania next summer for the FIBA World Cup Championship.

While Amari will be funded entirely by Team USA, the cost is too great for her mom and sister to join. I'm sending out this go fund me in hopes that we can PLEASE help make it possible for her mom and sister to travel along to support Amari and the team on this incredible journey! Any amount you could contribute to help toward plane tickets and travel fees for Amari's mom Veronica and sister Naomi would be greatly appreciated!

You can learn more about Amari's journey here. I couldn't be more proud of her, her sister Naomi for supporting her on this journey, and for one of the strongest single moms I know who's been with her every step of the way!
