INT-O YELLOW is a color with a cause created by artist, Uncle Riley and UMEWE, in collaboration with the Pantone Color Institute. It was developed as a platform for collaboration; a tool for creatives to share Optimism with others and to shine a light on Depression
“PAINT THE TOWN YELLOW” campaign in celebration of the United Nation’s International Day of Happiness (March 20th) and Mental Health Awareness Month (May) towns are collaborating with UMEWE to “PAINT the TOWN YELLOW” with Optimism and shine a light on Depression.
We need your help to 'SUSTAIN the CAMPAIGN' and other collaboratively generated UMEWE programs!
WHAT
• A civic celebration and awareness campaign
• An exhibition of Optimistic works by an array of artists , featuring International Optimism Yellow ( INT-O Yellow.com)
• INT-O Yellow ‘splat’ decals on participating storefront windows
• Yellow-themed events and fundraisers, speaker series and customer discounts to those wearing yellow on March 20th
• Roaming ‘Community Garden’ flowers mural made in collaboration with hundreds of community members
• A town-wide map featuring participating organizations
• A fundraiser for mental health initiatives
WHEN
March 18th thru May (Mental Health Awareness Month)
WHY
Turn your Optimism into action, by helping brighten lives and the community
• Help raise funding for the Community Mental Health Initiative and shine a light on Depression
• Participate in a public celebration of International Day of Happiness
• Help sustain what hopes to be an annual initiative and growing new art movement we call “Optimism”
Once we raise enough money, we will be able to bring this program (and others) to life, where a portion of all proceeds raised will benefit local mental health organizations.
