Travis and Jes Mulder celebrated their beautiful wedding in April. Most newlyweds get to enjoy marital bliss after the wedding festivities conclude. Unfortunately for them, this will not be the case. Less than a month into this awesome new phase of life they received some devastating news, Travis has been diagnosed with Leukemia (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). The road ahead for them is going to be long... really long. They will need to spend the next 4 weeks at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee undergoing an aggressive chemo regimen. After this 4 week period, Travis will need to return to Milwaukee 2-3 times per week for the next 5 months to continue his treatments and also do continued maintenance for the next 2-3 years. This will be a long road to recovery, and although Travis has a favorable outlook, this is still a daunting future for these newlyweds.

No one knows what all this will cost, but everyone can agree that Travis and Jes should not need to be worrying about the upcoming medical bills, lost wages, travel expenses, and all the costs that come along with the road ahead. As Travis’s and Jes’s community of support, lets join together in uplifting them. We can do this in 3 ways:

1.) Support the “Help Travis Kick Leukemia’s Butt” Go Fund Me
2.) Share the Go Fund Me page on your social media outlets
3.) And Most Importantly, Pray!!!

Any way that you can support them would be much appreciated.  We serve a BIG GOD who, through us, can bless this couple in their darkest hour!

Thank you all for supporting the Mulders in prayer, sharing, and financially. It has been incredible to see the funds pour in from across the country!

Some even more exciting news. Travis has been feeling so much better over the past several days. This is the power of prayer. Travis also has been receiving some great news from his doctors. His cancer cells are rapidly shrinking and he could be going home on JUNE ! - Trav couldn't be more excited!

Here are some more updates from Travis:
- Trav has had one batch of Chemo, which included 4 separate rounds of "drugs" (sorry that might not be the right terminology)
-Trav will receive his 2nd batch today, which will include all the "drugs" in one treatment (first batch came in 3 treatments)
-Trav's cancer cells have decreased from 36% to 2% (AWESOME!!)
-Trav’s long term schedule remains relatively unchanged
-Weekly Trav will have a chemo day and a testing day (likely 2 trips a week to Milwaukee)
-Trav carries the same heart gene as his Dad. The doctors are continuing to monitor this.
-I see of lot of Steve (Trav's Dad) in Travis, which is a great thing! Steve would be proud of how his son is handling this situation.
-Doctors are reporting that despite having this heart gene, Trav's heart is as Strong as an Ox.
-When Trav goes home, his immune system will be really low - please confirm with Jes prior to visiting
-Trav’s energy level ‘s are low and tasks take him significantly longer now
-Trav might receive a few units of blood to boost his energy levels
-Prayer requested: Please pray that Trav’s body can create new blood cells to avoid a bone marrow transplant.

One last time, thank you to all of you for blessing the Mulders!
