Support Hojojutsu Book Publication
One of these commissioned projects was a small document on the Japanese warriors art of rope arresting techniques. In having finished that project I had developed a strong curiosity on the subject and decided to delve further. After much correspondence with many interesting and amazing people in the field, I had learned of Fujita Seiko's publication "Zukai Torinawajutsu", what has been described as an encyclopedia of the subject. I also learned that although there is a tremendous demand for an English translation of this publication, no one has made this available.
So armed with my background in the martial arts, my keen interest in this art, and my life's ambition on the line, I decided to translate this book. However, as this book is about 320 pages long, it would have demanded a tremendous amount of time to complete the project, so I decided to go down the crowdfunding route.
So this campaign is in order to fund the purchasing of books and reference material as well as compensating for the time spent writing, editing, illustrating, etc. I am confident that anyone who has seen or read my past work will know that the content that I produce and my attention to detail will make this a product worth having on the bookshelf.
An example of my work from my own notes (The end product will be higher resolution and better refined): http://bit.ly/ExampleChapter01
The best way to see some of my other work is to visit the "Classical Martial Arts Research Academy's Facebook Page, my Official CMARA Website, or finally, my ResearchGate Profile.
For the donations there will also be rewards upon completion of the project as per GoFundMe's Rewards system! Also, any one who donates will, unless otherwise noted, have their names added to a "Sponsors who made this project possible" page.
Polished off chapter five yesterday and changed how I'm going about all the image formatting, so this will speed things up and look better in the end.
Though it seems like I'm only on chapter Six, in reality it's more like chapter eleven as I've already done many of the later chapters previously for various points of interest!
So this project is about 50% done now!
