Tony Nguyen Support Fund
No one imagined that Tony's next chapter of his life would start like this. We are asking for support for both Tony and his family as they start this journey to recovery. The money will be used to offset costs for the family, any equipment that Tony might need once he goes home, renovations for the home to allow Tony to move around easily, and to help pay for college once he is able to return to school.
Please continue to keep Tony and his family in your thoughts and prayers. The support from his friends and family has been inspirational, and your support and prayers will be greatly appreciated.
All of the pictures that people gave him and his "GET WELL TONY" poster are all up in his room. It gives him inspiration. He says its a little lonely there, he really misses his friends but he wanted to go to SCVM so he could walk again with his friends.
Yesterday he sat in a chair for 4 hours. Today he will do occupational therapy. They are thinking about switching to a smaller trach (trying to ween him off) and taking the staples out of his head on Monday.
Lynda Tony's sister is still with him. Yesterday, his parents, cousin Trena and friend Cresie all went to see him. We are planning to see him tomorrow.
Thank you again to everyone for your support and prayers, it means so much to Tony and his family.
The South Sacramento Kaiser staff and nurses called Santa Clara to make sure Tony made it safe and sound. Tony was a favorite at Kaiser. Tony's sister Lynda is staying with him now.
