Toni's Cancer Fight

In April 2017, my sister-in-law, Toni Boutilier, was diagnosed with breast cancer that will require months of aggressive treatment that begins today, April 26. She will need five months of chemotherapy, followed by a double mastectomy, and then an additional two months of five-day-a-week radiation treatments.
This campaign is to raise money to pay for Toni's major treatment expenses, her family's extra childcare costs during the course of treatment, lost income on treatment and recovery days, medical costs denied by insurance, and miscellaneous expenses such as travel to and from Sequim, WA, for radiation. All funds will go directly to Toni.
At this point we expect out-of-pocket medical costs alone to be at least $8000 over the next 6-12 months, assuming insurance covers every part of treatment. However, one expensive injection that Toni received last week (Neulasta, at approximately $7000 a pop)
has already been denied by insurance, so costs could wind up being much higher.
If you already know Toni, you know she is a kind and genuine person with enormous compassion for people in need. She regularly organizes giving campaigns to help the less fortunate in the Port Townsend area, most recently singlehandedly running a new-shoe drive for needy students at Port Townsend's public schools, as well as a fundraiser last December to provide a special holiday dinner to folks staying at the local homeless shelter. Before those efforts, Toni regularly organized drives to provide lunches and hygiene bags to homeless people, which she and her daughters always make a point of hand-delivering directly to their recipients.
Toni works as a special education paraeducator at Grant Street Elementary in Port Townsend, is married to my older brother, Aaron, and has two wonderful daughters, Claudia, age 12, and Adalynn, age 5.
Toni is a gracious and giving person who always goes out of her way to help others and build community. Now let's show Toni how much her community cares about her. No donation is too small to make a difference. Thank you for supporting Toni's cancer fight!
