Helping #TheSDThree & Homeless Kids

Donation protected
My name is Shantaya Pace-Kitchen. I am an Army veteran, and the CEO and Founder of a minority-based 501(c)3 public charity called T.L.E.B.G. I am also a survivor of childhood homelessness, having lived in cars, shelters, with family friends most of my life with my four siblings until about the age of 12 or 13. I made a promise to myself that if I had the opportunity to help others who have gone through such a traumatic experience, I would move heaven amd hell to be the change needed in their lives. This is where my passion lies.
This campaign is in response to my chance encounter with three of the most beautiful souls I've ever met. I met these girls, Brianna (18) Jasmine (16) and Alyssa (14) while passing out goods to homeless women. I encountered their brother Trey first, and over time he trusted me enough to allow me to meet his sisters who were living in a small tent with him in Downtown San Diego, with one blanket and absolutely NO pillows or jackets. They've been in this tent for almost a year now. I immediately knew at that moment that I was going to do whatever it took to make their situation a better one.
I have been feeding them and keeping them as comfortable as possible until we can find a permanent housing solution for them (that allows all of them to stay together, because that is very important to them) and get them the bare essentials that they need.
So the goal here is to first drastically improve the lives of these girls, and second to help the other homeless children within their area. We also will strive to create a strong support system for them that will grow beyond this family and benefit the community as a whole.
So here is a quick breakdown of how the funds donated will be used:
1. Permanent Housing solution for their family (utilities, sewer, etc).
2. Furniture to include actual beds, pillows, linen, dressers, etc.
3. Clothing (as they only have one to two outfits including some clothes and jackets that I have purchased for them.) They only have socks and flip flops as of now, so SHOES are going to be very important.
4. Working cellphones so that I can stay in constant communication with them--they have broken ones that don't actually work, but they keep them anyay and use them primarily as cameras.
5. Athletic equipment--Jasmine (16) is one of the top basketball players at her school, and needs new basketball shoes, shorts, etc to continue fulfilling her passion to one day get a basketball scholarship to SDSU to complete a nursing program.
6. School/College supplies--Brianna (18) recently graduated from the 12th grade and wants to go to college and major in Criminal Justice. Alyssa (14) has just re-enrolled back into highschool, wishes to get on the volleyball team, and is hoping to graduate with a scholarship and go to college as well.
7. The remaining funds will go towards other homeless families with young children to help with housing, and other basic needs.
Please find it in your hearts to give whatever you can, and also share our Story far and wide and use #TheSDThree so that these Beautiful young girls can realize their dreams of finding a home and going to college.
