The Snead Family Legal Defense Fund

This past December, the Snead family, of Parkland Florida, heard of a local 19-year old boy who lost his mother, and had no remaining family to stay with. The Snead’s youngest son knew this boy from J-ROTC. Feeling sorry for the boy, the Snead family graciously took him into their home, contingent upon him getting a job and continuing his education. Little did they know, this act of kindness would later turn into their greatest regret.

       Unbeknownst to the Snead's, this boy had a troubled past and only two months later, he would ignite a tragedy at Stoneman Douglas High School. This boy was Nikolas Cruz.

         The Snead family is currently being sued by multiple attorneys seeking monetary damages for allowing Nikolas Cruz, the Parkland Shooter, to live in their home for a few months prior to the horrific shootings at Stoneman Douglas high School.

            The cost of the litigation is expected to reach many  thousands of dollars and likely force the Snead family into bankruptcy, all because they felt sorry for 19-year old Nikolas Cruz whose mother had recently passed away.  

            There are plenty of people and Government agencies that contributed to the failures that led to this horrible tragedy.  However, the Snead family's only intention was to provide a home for a 19-year old young man who needed one.

          Any amount of contribution to the defense fund is greatly appreciated and will be used solely for a civil attorney to defend against the pending civil lawsuits.
