"Tell Me I'm Wrong" - A New Album

$9,995 of $9,500 goal

For all of you who hoped Reade McCardell would disappear after his debut CD "Frets", we have deeply disappointing news.  Not only is he back, he's back with plans for a double-CD set entirely comprised of cover versions selected by Aram Yardumian.  This hyper-contextualized detour from Reade's web-fingered post-indie folk trajectory includes forays into electronic ambience, obscure Swiss soundtrack ballads, and full-blown electric guitar concussions.  All with characteristic flamboyance and self-effacing absurdity.  He even sings a full song in phonetically-learned Armenian.  If you never wanted to hear Reade cover Morton Feldman's "Coptic Light" or Sam Collins's "Pork Chop Blues" then stay far away from this CD.  Otherwise, we'd love your support in making it possible.

In order for this artistic catastrophe to see daylight, we appeal to your most depraved instincts.  Reade and co. have already recorded 17 of 24 tracks and have run short of funds.  In order to finish everything, we need $9,500, which, for all you fiscally-minded potential contributors, breaks down thus:

-- $1,700 : Studio time at Milkboy The Studio, Philadelphia, PA.
-- $950 : Studio musicians
-- $3,000 : Mixing and mastering at Milkboy The Studio, Philadelphia, PA.
-- $600 : Design & Layout
-- $2,500 : CD manufacturing by QCA, Inc. Cincinnati, Ohio.
-- $750 : GoFundMe Processing and Platform Fees

We're truly excited to turn this project into a reality, and we are humbled that you scrolled down this far. Seriously, we know you are bombarded daily with funding requests from doe-eyed artists.  We appreciate your attention to yet another plea.  This album may not go platinum, but we are certain it will drive the car of your senses over a series of orange cones.

Thank you so very much.

[Many, many thanks to Matthew Childs for shooting and editing the video and to Jonathan Rose and Angela Rose for their assistance in launching this]
