Self Publishing a Children's Book

Donation protected
I have been writing since I was a little one, letting my creativity flow through words.  The chance to publish a book has now arrived at age 40!  What a perfect time.

I believe in magic!  And one day a few months ago-collaborative magic happened!

My beautiful God Mother, Auntie Maggie, who has also  been creatively expressing since childhood, and myself decided to collaborate and bring one of her art forms, illustrations,  alive into a childrens book.  As my Aunt describes, " ...these illustrations have been sitting for a long time waiting for someone like my neice, Margo to bring the story to Light."

Maggie and Margo would like to introduce The Teasels and The Grumbles to children and adults across the world.  Years ago, Mrs. Teasel was first created by my Granny, Aunt Maggie's Mum, through a creative craft seen on the photo of this campaign.   And now her story continues...

We are asking our friends and family for support to publish this book by the Summer of 2018!!  Any amount will go towards self-publishing through either FriesenPress or TellWell, Canadian publishing companies.   And as a token of our deep appreciation we will send you a copy of our book, signed with our love.  Any amount will be helpful, it will all add up to a beautiful publication!

Read more about who we are below.

Maggie Hinton - Illustrator
Maggie gravitated to art early in her life.  As a child she spent many hours illustrating stories.   Inspired by the artistic ways of other family members, Maggie has now over 40 years of experience in artistic creation.  Her education spans communication arts, fine arts, and photography, and makeup arts for film and television.
She can be found in a country home in the Trent Hills with her cute Pugs snuggled next to her, creating beautiful intricate drawings of trees and nature's beauty.  She truly appreciates the natural world, which you will see in vibrant detail in this story of The Teasels and The Grumbles.

Margo Lee Burton - author  (and my husband, Luke)
Margo is an eclectic vibrant woman who serves the world through providing therapy, education, facilitating, writing and loving in so many other ways.  Her passion for writing was awakened when she wrote an alaphabet story in early grade school, it morphed into teen poetry, supporting her in those challenging years.  Now, you can find her writing short stories, nature essays, poetry inspired by spirit and life's many adventures, and magical children's stories.   She is working on publishing this book and bringing together her collection of poetry over all the years.
