My name is Naomi!! I am raising money to help mommy and daddy with my medical bills and anything remaining I want to give back to Ronald McDonald House Charities as a thank for taking such great care of my mommy and daddy along this journey we are on together!!
My Story:
I was born into this world 5 weeks early at Scripps La Jolla Hospital becuase the doctors said mommy couldnt go home until I was born. I got to spend the first two hours of my precious life having skin to skin time with my loving mommy and daddy. When I was 2 hours old my nurses told daddy to bring me to the nursery for my shots during which the nurses realized I had Neonatal Hypoglycemia. I was then taken to the Rady Children's NICU at my birthing hospital for more tests. My NICU nurses found out my platlete count was low and that my red blood cells were sick; and my NICU doctor ordered an ultrasound of my brain which showed 3 bleeds on my brain spots. Two of my bleeds are level IV, and one is level 3 (level IV is the most severe type of bleed).
All these things meant I got to car for my first ride in a car. It was better than a car though - I got to for a ride in the CHET Ambulance when I was only 10 hours old to Rady Children Hospital SD so I could have even more doctors take expert care of me!!! My new doctors and nurses at RCHSD have been helping me to grow and make progress ever since!! I LOVE my RCHSD nurses and medical team becuase they give me the best medical treatment out there!!!
My daddy and mommy come to hang out with me everyday while I work hard to get strong enough to go home!
THank you everyone for your help!! I can't wait to meet all of you!!
