Deonte & Vonda's Medical Bills

My name is Chas and I would like to ask for your support for my two family members, Deonte Richmond and Vonda Knight.
On Saturday, September 27 at approximately 7:30 pm, Deonte and Vonda had a terrible accident within a few blocks of their home. In the midst of the busy, rowdy crowd in town for Tennessee State University's homecoming, an impatient motorist ran them off the road before speeding off causing them to hit an electric pole head on. Deonte (the driver) suffered from a dislocated hip which he later had surgery on to correct and a bruised sternum. Vonda (the passenger) was in more critical condition as she was asleep during the time of the accident and was not wearing a seatbelt. Her injuries were much more extensive and included a fractured neck and a broken ankle. In addition, the entire left side of her body has had little to no response since the accident occurred. She has already undergone ankle surgery and numerous other medical tests.
This young couple (both in their 20s) also have a beautiful 2-year old daughter. Thankfully, she was not in the car when the accident occurred but she did have to experience both of her parents being hospitalized at once. Together, they are a loving, very close-knit family who values family time and looks forward to building a future together for their daughter.
As you can imagine, there will be a number of expenses during their long road to recovery. Both will require rehabilitiation once their bodies fully heal. Deonte, although discharged from the hospital, is ordered to stay off of his leg/hip for 3 months...this means he will be out of work for at least 3 months and will have to stay with family in the meantime. Vonda, who is still hospitalized, will be released to an in-patient rehabilitation center. Based on the couple's limited insurance coverage, rehabilitation will not be covered beyond 2 weeks. Given the extent of their injuries, more than 2 weeks of rehabilitation will be needed to ensure that they can fully function their bodies back to normal levels.
In addition to all of their medical expenses, their recurring household expenses such as rent, utilities, and other miscellaneous bills will still be expected to be paid although they will not be able to work for an extended period of time. In addition, their daughter will still need to be provided for as well during this time.
Your support will help cover their medical expenses, including the necessary rehabilitation they need which can be very costly but extremely critical given the extent of their injuries, household expenses, and expenses related to raising their daughter, such as childcare, food/supplies, etc.
I thank you in advance for reading Deonte and Vonda's story. This is a very challenging, difficult time for them as well as their family helping care for them. My hope is to at least relieve them from some of the financial pressures due to their medical treatment and family financial obligations during their road to recovery.
