Team Abby

As part of Team Abby, our hearts have rejoiced and been shattered by the difficult events the Furco Five have endured these past 3.5+ years.  When Abby was first diagnosed with Ph+ Pre-B ALL leukemia, we supported and rallied behind Joe, Patty, and the beautiful Furco girls.  With courage and determination, Abby beat cancer and went into remission.  Sadly, Abby is very recently Relapsed Ph+ Pre-B ALL, and now Team Abby needs to unite and answer the call to support the Fab Five.

Abby is facing weeks of intense chemo followed by a bone marrow transplant.  To complete the bone marrow transplant, the Furco family will need to move from Virginia Beach, VA to Chicgao, IL.  We can support and stand with Joe and Patty through this emotional and difficult trial, but we can also ease their financial burden.  In Chicago, Abby will mainly be at the hospital and after some time, at a location near by.  Joe and Patty plan to take turns staying with Abby while family members care for Maggie and Emily.  While they have medical coverage, they will have significant expenses incurred from moving cities, plane tickets, living in separate locations, food and gas.  We are all part of Team Abby, and our hearts rejoice and suffer with Team Furco.  Now is the time to show the Furco family how much we care, now is the time to donate to help them beat cancer once and for all.  All funds will be used to support the family through this trial.  Once Abby beats cancer again, leftover funds will be donated to cancer research.
