First Robotics World Competition

Tax deductible
15 Days, $15000
Run through a community based nonprofit and makerspace in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, the TeraViks robotics team competed in the Idaho regional competition. We won first place this year, despite our small team size, thanks to our 12 team members pouring in over 80 hours each. Now we have the opportunity to compete in the World Championship in Houston, Texas.

Each teen on Team TeraViks has a strong desire to do their best and succeed. Our dedication and drive has brought us into the FIRST Robotics Competition. By participating in FIRST, we are gaining an opportunity to establish a foothold in our future and have gained valuable skills in STEM fields. Our creativity helped us design a robot entirely unique from other participants by using an actuating scissor lift and a belt-based grabbing mechanism, instead of an elevator lift, like most other teams. We didn’t just build a winning robot this year, but also helped start a rookie team in St. Mary’s, Idaho, which also has the opportunity to attend the World Championship. All this has been done on a relatively low budget with few sponsors, and to continue our journey we need your help!

We need to raise $15,000 in two weeks to cover the entry fee ($5000), housing, and transportation. Any amount will be appreciated, and will allow us to see how we stack up on the world stage while creating long-lasting memories.
