Support Team del Sol to Scotland

Team del Sol is a SYNCHRONIZED FIGURE SKATING TEAM, located in San Diego, California. Synchronized Figure Skating, which is anticipated to be an observational sport in the 2022 Winter Olympics, consists of a team of 16-20 Figure Skaters who perform TOGETHER! It uses the SAME JUDGING SYSTEM as singles, pairs and dance and is characterized by teamwork, speed, intricate formations and challenging step sequences. This exciting sport, ONE OF THE FASTEST GROWING in figure skating, is already global, with international competitions including World Championships for those teams skilled and fortunate enough to be chosen as representatives by their country’s overseeing bodies.

TEAM DEL SOL IS ONE OF SUCH TEAMS CHOSEN TO REPRESENT THE UNITED STATES IN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION! It is a great honor to represent one’s country, and is a culmination of a dream, with some team members having skated for a DECADE to get to this point. The many hours of daily practice starting at 4AM has been worth it! These teams are officially TEAM USA as they represent the USA as sanctioned teams by the US Figure Skating Association!

Team del Sol is honored to be chosen to compete in Great Britain, at the TROPHY D’ECOSSE INTERNATIONAL SYNCHRONIZED SKATING COMPETITION in Dumfries, Scotland!! We are excited that our competition will be FEBRUARY 12-14, 2016! But we need YOUR HELP to be able to go! We are and have AMATEUR status, and are not funded by companies or corporations. We need to raise money to travel from our rinks in San Diego to the Ice Bowl in Scotland to compete! All of us either work or go to school full time, and are paying for our skating ourselves. So PLEASE HELP US GET TO DUMFRIES by DONATING!
