Anthony 'Tank' Meeks Medical Fund

Anthony 'Tank' Meeks was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) at the young age of 27, and was given 2 to 5 years to live.  It is now almost 20 years later, and he still fights for his life every day.  He is completely paralyzed - except for some facial muscles, relies on a ventilator to breathe for him, and a feeding tube to nourish him.  He can no longer speak clearly, or even swallow on his own.  But he has not been defeated by his disease.  He still follows his interests and hobbies of knife collecting, Civil War history, movies, books, and MMA fights.  He is an inspiration to everyone who meets him.  Check out his Facebook page: Anthony 'Tank' Meeks 
But living with a major illness year after year is a huge financial burden.  He has some insurance coverage, but it does not cover all of his medical expenses, most notably the 24 hour nursing care that he requires.  Family and friends have spent countless hours filling in the gaps left by his insurance, but as his family is getting older, it is becoming harder for them to care for him.  Without their help, Tank's only option is a nursing home that would be hours away from everyone he knows and loves.  Please help to ensure this doesn't happen to him.  Your donation is badly needed and greatly appreciated!
