TMC Texas Flood Relief
Donation protected
Good evening TMC Family,
In recent days, devastating tornadoes and flooding have taken their toll on the state of Texas. We pray for those who are mourning loved ones as well as anyone who has been impacted by this natural disaster in any way.
Although the storm has passed, areas in Texas are still at risk for continued flooding.
Fortunately, as of right now, our TMC Family and residents in the affected areas remain physically unharmed and have made it through this severe weather safely.
We do however, have some of our own TMC Family members in need of our help.
Marie is a PTA at one of our Texas TMC Facilities. Her roof was severely damaged, which has caused water to flood into her home. She currently does not have a working stove or oven and has been using a hot plate and toaster oven to cook her and her three children meals. She is a single mom who has been battling cancer since last summer. She has been in and out of work due to surgery and a clinical trial that makes her very sick. Marie simply cannot afford to miss any more work, let alone afford the expenses to have her home fixed. At least not on her own. Marie is a wonderful mother, trying to provide for her children. She is a great friend and employee whose optimism never fails to shine through; whose need to help others always persists.
Susan is an OT and Rehab Director at one of our Texas TMC Facilities. She has not been able to leave her house for more than a week due to the flooding in her neighborhood. Water is a mere two inches away from coming into her home. With the continued rain an looding predicted to occur, this could mean potential damage she is facing as well.
Marie and Susan are the only people that we know of who have faced damages, potential or otherwise. With how unpredictable Mother Nature can be, we want to start helping in any way we can as fast as we can.
Now is the time to help them and anyone else who may be facing damages in the future. Anything you choose to give will be a blessing for both of these amazing women and anyone else in our TMC Family who may eventually need help in regards to this flood.
