TBN Everest Challenge for EKIDS

To coincide with National Dementia Awareness Week (21 May - 27 May), Thanet Business Network (www.thanetbusinessnetwork.co.uk) will be climbing Everest (or its equivalent 8848m height) to raise funds for local charity, EKIDS (East Kent Independent Dementia Support - www.ekids.org.uk).

Date: Saturday 26th May
Start: Arrive 9am for a 10am start.
Finish: As soon as we've climbed the 18m steps enough times for a combined total of 8848m (Everest's height)!

EKIDS was founded to support local people in East Kent living with dementia, as well as their carers and families. They facilitate a range of support groups and meetings run by volunteers with experience of dementia care. Dementia care specialists, healthcare professionals and Social Services representatives are also on hand at some meetings to answer questions and give advice and support in a friendly, relaxed environment.
