System Overload Robotics
The mission of System Overload Robotics (SOR) is to promote the learning of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to the students of the Tri-Valley Area.
System Overload Robotics is a neighbourhood robotics team that includes students from all over the Tri-Valley, with members from Granada High, Dublin High, and Del Valle. In 2018, we became Boy Scout Explorer Post #987 and an official non-profit chartered by Robot Garden.
Robot Garden is a makerspace in downtown Livermore that provides education and a facility to many different STEM-based programs, both for children and adults for a small membership fee.
We provide students with a quality learning experience that will serve them throughout their entire lives in the advancement of their knowledge of STEM and have been doing so for the past 3 years.
SOR competes in the First Robotics Competition, FRC, hosted by FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). Information on FRC and FIRST can be found here.
We hope that with your support we can buy the equipment necessary for us to participate in the Sacramento Regional coming March 21-24, 2018. We need to buy several more items as well as pay for hotel and travel.
Thank you very much for your time!
