Suzanne Sanchez' Medical Fund

Sometimes life throws us an unexpected curve ball that is near impossible to prepare for. During summer of 2016, while enjoying her time off from work, Suzanne Sanchez took care of some routine lab work. Her test results came back abnormal, which raised concern with her doctor. A colonoscopy was scheduled. During Suzanne's exam a mass was found in her colon. The mass was biopsied and sent to the lab for testing. On July 13, 2016, after much anticipation, devastating news was delivered. The mass in her colon was in fact, cancer (Adenocarcinoma). Now instead of looking forward to spending her days at work, helping children feel better, she will be spending the next few months enduring many medical tests, major surgery on Friday, August 19, 2016, a week long stay in the hospital and 6+ weeks in recovery at home. Suzanne is 66 years old, she lives alone, leads a very healthy and active lifestyle. She has a huge heart with a passion for helping others, and an immeasurable love for animals. She is employed as a health services assistant, working with children. In her spare time she volunteers at her local animal shelter. During her treatment and recovery, Suzanne will be forced to take an extended amount of time off of work, without pay. Unfortunately her employer does not offer disability insurance nor the greatest of medical insurances. We are asking for your help in her time of dire need, financially, physically and spiritually. A go fund me account has been set up in her name for monetary donations as well as meal train for help getting Suzanne fed during her recovery. In your spare time, she would love to have visitors to help cheer her up, keep her company, grab the mail from her box and tidy up her house.
