Dear Friends:
As a registered nurse, licensed acupuncturist, meditation teacher and grauduate student, I am being trained in the techiniques of Capacitar.org. These simple methods based in techniques using acupressure, tapping, Qi-Gong exercises and Tai Chi Chuan. These simple easy methods are used to release the stress and anxiety from traumatic events in our past.
My heart is called to be of service to the people of Nepal.
Currently I am enrolled in a Master’s Degree program at the Pacifica Graduate Institute. My field of study is Community, Liberation and Eco-psychology. The calling and opportunity to be of service will be intertwined with my educational experience. I will journal this experience and photograph to the best of my abilities and submit the writing as a project for my studies. The themes of recovery, community rebuilding and healing are consistent with my studies.
As all of my friends, colleagues and associates supported my trip in June 2015 directly after the earthquakes, I am going again to bring the methids I am learning from Patricia Cane of the Capacitar organization.
The additional relief needed in Nepal has a pull on me I cannot ignore. To be a part of the effort to restore the children to wholeness is calling me agian. My life has been enriched by the Tibetan Buddhist teachings originating from this region. And by the experience I had last year bringing medical care to over 583 people in the medical camps conducted with your generous contribution last year.
I recognize this is my choice to go this great distance and undertake this commitment. It is with deep gratitude in my heart that I ask for your contribution for this second project. In order to make this trip, I have had to think of a way to do this with integrity and a sense of giving back to the individuals who are able and willing to financially support me in this effort. In return, I am offering personal meditation instruction for the contributions you may choose to provide to support my effort.
I am a teacher of Vedic Meditation in the tradition of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. I have spent nearly two years as as student to learn to be a teacher of this meditation tradition. My teacher is in the second generation of teachers who learned directly from the Maharishi. Jeff Kober, my teacher was taught by Thom Knowles who was taught by the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi himself in the 1960’s. If you would like to learn to meditate, I am here to be of service to teach and guide you.
Here is the plan I have for participating in the I will stand and tell you, if something occurs that I cannot go, any donations will be returned to you.
This trip will cost is less than last year. I have been able to secure a plane ticket. My departure is September 2 2016. I am going to be training staff in the orphange where I went last year. I have been told many of the children are still impacted by the memories and stress of the earthquake experience. Using the Capacitar techiniques, immediate energetic shifts are felt by the participants. The techniques are subtle, easy and repeatable. The children taught to use the methods can use them for themselves easliy at anytime
If this crowd funding is so successful that I have in excess of the cost of the trip, the remainder of the funds will be used as a contribution to Child Haven Orphange in Kathmandu, NEPAL.
