Support for Savvy's Medical Fund

Donation protected
My name is Daisy Teh (I also go by Kleng to close friends and family) and on June 9th we received news from my cousin (Michelle Fornal) that the doctors found a fairly large brain tumor in my sweet 4 year old niece, Savvy. Her particular tumor is very rare (1 in every 350,000 people) and brain surgery is necessary to remove the tumor at its size to avoid further damage in her brain. After running additional tests, we received an update on June 21st that Savvy's ophthalmologist found that Savvy is suffering from significant vision loss in one of her eyes from this tumor and in an effort to save her from going blind, they're moving surgery up to this Friday, June 23rd (versus a few weeks from now).

I created this GoFundMe in an effort to help Michael and Michelle (Savvy's parents) with medical expenses. I cannot imagine what Michael and Michelle are going through right now as parents having to deal with this unexpected diagnosis of their only child. Even with insurance the cost of additional medical bills, travel costs, and lost wages can be a financial burden for any family. I trust that our God is faithful in all circumstances, and I know the Fornal family are strong in their faith.

I never do these types of campaigns and very rarely promote any crowdfunding causes, but this one is personal and dear to my heart. My cousin, Michelle, is like a sister to me and I love Savvy dearly. Any donation amount is appreciated and goes 100% directly to the Fornal family.

I also wanted to make note that Savvy absolutely loves and adores Wonder Woman. If any of my PR and Marketing friends have any creative ideas on what we can do to bring more Wonder Woman into Savvy's life to keep her distracted from all the hospital and medical stuff she has to deal with, please connect with me!

Friends of the Fornal family have also created a Meal Train for them here: https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/ol98o4

Here's the latest update from my cousin, Michelle Fornal:

06/21/2017: Update on Savvy
Savvy's surgery date was moved up to this Friday morning, in 4 days. It was originally planned for 3 weeks from now. Her ophthalmologist found today that she has significant vision loss in one of her eyes from this tumor currently. In an effort to save her from going blind they're moving on this much quicker.

The neurosurgeon is optimistic that he can get about 85% of it. It's pushing up against some important areas so he thinks he'll have to leave some. This particular brain tumor type has a high recurrence rate at around 60% and higher if some has to be left. Recovery will be 6 weeks and she will stay in the hospital for a week. She'll have an MRI every 3 months for several years to monitor any growth again. After surgery, she'll be on lifelong hormone replacements and various meds once she recovers and likely lose her pituitary gland entirely. It'll be a long road but we're staying hopeful and strong for her. We'll be at Cooks all day tomorrow to do all the final preps before surgery.

Thank you to the many, many, many, wonderful and loving people we have supporting us, sending happy gifts for her, praying, and checking in on us. Please continue to pray for her and keep her in your positive thoughts
