Fighting Shannon's Cancer Fund

To know Shannon is to love her, her bright smile, contagious laughter and warm energy are just the beginning as to what makes her so special to all of us. Shannon has continuously kept a positive outlook on life over the course of her difficult journey. Fondly referred to as "the girl who never lost her smile" by her long time boyfriend Billy, we couldn't think of a more perfect way to describe our Shannon.
In April of 2015 her battle against cancer began, Shannon was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 33. Subsequently, Shannon underwent surgery for a lumpectomy to remove the cancerous tissues in her breast. Following her surgery she underwent chemotherapy for 10 rigorous months, resulting in her losing her hair, but never losing her fiery will to keep fighting. In March 2016, radiation began to target specific areas which had not been eradicated by chemotherapy. With high hopes the cancer would be kept at bay, Shannon began standard cancer treatments to stop the spreading. Ultimately knowing she would never achieve remission but simply to live her life to the fullest again.
Unfortunately, cancer had other plans for our sweet girl, another diagnosis followed in October of 2016, her cancer had spread to her bones. Over the next couple years Shannon would continue working as she always had before, never showing her pain, always making everyone feel welcomed and keeping that smile bright for all to see.
As of recent months, Shannon's illness has began to progress and spread. Over the last couple months, the cancer has spread into her leg and hip making it difficult to walk without assistance, resulting in Shannon using a wheel chair. Because of her inability to walk, Shannon had to take a medical leave of absence from her job at Key's Fisheries, where she has worked for 11 years, serving drinks and smiles.
We are asking for any help to alleviate the financial burden she has accrued over these last trying years. Donations and mail will also be accepted at the address given below. Please keep our Disney loving, pretty in pink, fierce Shannon in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you all.
