Support Jewish Children of Color!
Tax deductible
Looking for a way to spend your gelt (money) this Chanukah? Support the Jewish Multiracial Network (JMN) by helping us meet our goal of raising $3600 for our children's programming and staff at our 2017 National Family Retreat occuring May 12-14th at the Berkshire Hills Eisenberg Camp. Your gelt will support one of the key components of our retreat. After 19 years of hosting a national retreat, we know what a difference engaging, professional, and sensitive staff can make in the lives of the Jewish children of color who attend our retreats.
We provide our young attendees with supportive leaders, age appropriate programming, and activities that allow them to fully experience and celebrate all of their identities while having a great time! Too often children are forced to compartmentalize, to choose between fully expressing their ethnic and racial heritage or their Jewish identity. This retreat provides a unique opportunity for everyone to be accepted, completely, without question.
As you can see in our video, previous attendees can vouch for the great miracles that have occurred at our Jewish Multiracial Network retreats.
Like the Oil in the Chanukah story, a little bit can go a long way, The gelt raised from your contribution will go to:
-Hiring Staff for our children's programming
-Children's Staff transportation costs
-Craft Supplies for various children's projects
-Purchasing diverse Jewish children's books and media
-Creating our own diverse Jewish images for children's programming
Our theme this year is "United We Stand" and we hope that you will stand with us in supporting our vision; where the diversity of the Jewish community is not only acknowledged, but embraced. Stand with us and the increasingly diverse Jewish future. Help us to keep the light of our Jewish youth of color burning bright with confidence in their multiple identities, your support will not only benefit them, but the entire Jewish community. In celebrating the unique experiences and voices of Jews of Color, the Jewish community can model and press forward in our goal to be the change we wish to see in each other and the world.
