Recent loss to our non-profit

Donation protected
We are the Martin Art Center's Arizona STE[+a]M Shop, an educational after school program for K-12 kids. We were burglarized over this past weekend and they took our stage equipment. We don't know how they got in, but we lost $3500 in speakers, amplifiers, microphones, effects and cables.
We are an all-volunteer group who help local kids learn and use STE[a]M to help them learn and grow academically at the same time using creativity. Although this theft is a frustrating setback for our work at the Martin Art Center, with your help, it will be only a temporary obstacle. We are humbled by the support we continue to receive from our neighbors, and grateful for the continued opportunity to serve our community here in Glendale.

We have spent countless hours making this space and now we are set back to asking for even more help to get kids involved in STEAM, Science, Technology, engineering, ART, and Math. With Arizona needing more creative ways to help kids and Arizona's economy, we do our part to be open every day, for free, for kids and even adults who need a little help with school and workplace development. Please, if you can pitch in even $1 it will help. We lost $3500 in speakers, amps, cables, monitors and effects.

We started the Art Center to provide a learning center like no other. “Fun”, “engaging”, “unexpected”, “challenging” and a safe place for children and adults to learn and grow . Martin Wesolowski created the MAC to fill a space in both his heart and his past experience with education in his life.

As a young man, he and his wife  did not have kids of their own. The desire to nurture and kindle a creative child was always a dominant force in Martin's life that drove him to work with children with special needs, and in places where children would benefit from his work and creativity.  The things he has made have influenced many people over the years, and continue to do so through his hard work and dedication to the AZ STE[+a]M Shop.

Martin was a child to a single parent mother of three, his education was undirected and unfocused. This may have been his environment or could have been who he was as a student. Martin's attempt to challenge his own ability to learn has always sought out people who he admired for their skill and ability to create.  Now, he is that person, and we at AZ STE[+a]M shop are aware of the needs and responsibilities as an instructors, a mentors, and role models. We are asking for support at this time to be able to continue our mission and provide a safe creative place for our local community. At this time we ask for your support to help the next generations of inquisitive, creative, and educated children and young adults that non-profit serves. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
