Stan Piatt's Stage 4 Cancer

Stan Piatt, we know him as our beloved Father and Grandfather. You all know him as the voice of the morning show for many years on WNIR, where he provided hours of entertainment for his many followers/listeners, 6 mornings a week. His knack for making people laugh is incredible. Not only was this his personality on air, but off as well. He just has a natural ability to make people laugh. As most of you also know by now, on November 20, 2017, his life was turned upside down. We received heart wrenching news. Our Dad was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer. Further scans then showed the cancer had spread to other areas as well. You see cancer doesn't rest. It never rests, never sleeps. Cancer shows no favorites. Young or old, wealthy or poor, illiterate or educated, it doesn't discriminate. It also doesn't help cover any financial expenses, it only creates them, a lot of them. Due to this condition he is still unable to do work of any kind. Dad has finally found a treatment, in pill form, that has actually given him more time with us. The cancer has spread into the abdomen, however, it still has not spread nearly as quickly or as much as anticipated, since starting the newest chemo.  Medicare will still be covering 70-80% of the bills, but they DO NOT pay for the chemo pills. These pills are $300 a month.  It isn't easy ever having to ask anyone for help, but we finally reached out and started him this gofundme campaign. This allows him a chance to have one less stress in his life to worry about right now.
