I've accepted the call to assist EVERY body's ability to nurture itself and to maintain a state of wellness through bodymindspirit work.
Yoga, meditation, and body work have been comforts in the storms of modern day stresses and have supported my personal journey towards wholeness and self awareness. I can righteously say that without these therapies I would not be here, nor have the courage, faith, and sensitivity to travel deeper into my soul's purpose and share what I discover there.
Every transformation comes not without a "descent into hell." I am emerging attuned to the ways in which we have created social structures of dis-ease that take root in our emotional and physical bodies. Those on the metaphorical margins are most affected and often traumatized.
The Chase
My practice will target communities for which massage, yoga, and meditation have become economically inaccessible luxuries, but for whom these very therapies are critical to the survival and thriving impulse that is so soul-soothing: a journey through trauma and to one's self.
100% of your support will be used for the practical training and materials needed to launch Souljourner Body Works. For each $100 raised I will donate a 1 hour touch therapy session to member of a "marginalized" community in order to help to center them (potential recipients include elders housed in a local convalescent homes, survivors of sexual and domestic abuse, single working parents, victims of incarceration).
