Solar Classroom at the Daley School
Donation protected
We are the new Climate Change Club at the Daley Middle School! We’re a group of 6th graders (and one honorary 8th grader!) working together to stop climate change and hopefully inspire other people to get involved.

We are raising money to make our classroom solar powered. Right now, we only have small portable solar lights (below), but $10,000 will allow us to install a customized 1000W system to completely power our room and one hallway!

More about our club and goals.
A few months ago, our club was small. Now there are over 40 members because we created a powerpoint project, presented our ideas to students in other classes, and recruited new members.
Already we’ve accomplished a lot. We meet every week to talk about our goals. We wrote, directed, filmed, and edited the video above about climate change and our project (enjoy!). We're learning how to build websites and have created our website: www.climatechangeclub.org. And lastly, we're already working with a local solar electrician who will help us with the project.
This project is just the beginning. We want to inspire other schools to do similar projects, and eventually we want our entire school to be solar powered!
Please donate to help us achieve our goals!
