Healing Journey- Solace Edition

Hello, everyone!

My story is a bit funny, but also humiliating.  I slid down the stairs and landed on my back. I’m still not sure how it happened. One moment I was walking and the next I wasn’t 

At first, I laughed because I felt so stupid, but when the pain came, it wasn’t so funny. We old people can’t mess around with injuries, but sometimes I forget I’m 50 years old (lol). I didn't go to the doctor right away. I didn’t think it was serious, just that I landed in a bad way.

The doctor did an exam and sent me for imaging. Long story short, I need spinal fusion surgery. The doctor said it’s not as serious as it sounds, but the injury needs to be corrected before I have worse problems.

The surgeon is considered “out of network” by my insurance, so I have to pay 20% of the cost. This will also ensure  I have proper anesthesia should my surgery take longer than expected. I have liquidated everything I can and need to raise roughly $1500.
