Did you know that the average American farmer is 60 years old? Would you agree that kids today do not fully understand where food comes from? These are just a few of many questions that do not have satisfying answers. 

Many children today lack basic knowledge and life skills such as growing and preserving food, animal husbandry, sewing, basic construction, and the list goes on. We believe that by creating a school where academics and agriculture are integrated with the lost art of self-reliance, we can cultivate a generation of children ready for the workforce by providing instruction and skills from the 20th century with the technology  and demands of the new millennium.

To launch our dream school forward, we need to become a member of the California Charter Schools Association. They will help support and give us resources  (legal, Ed. Code, financial, planning) needed to create our charter school plan/petition. Their developer member fee is a one time cost of $1000. They also have a California Charter Schools Conference in March that they highly recommend we attend. The conference cost is $ 450 per person. 

We are presently building our team. We are looking for others who share our vision and could act as our community outreach, governance, education, finance, facilities, personnel, and agriculture partners.
