Send Traci to Study in London!!

Hey frands!

So, as some of you know, I just turned 21. And for the past year and half, anyone who knows me will know that all I have been talking about is studying abroad in London this spring. Since I don’t drink, I had the idea to create this page in hopes that you lovely folks will help me raise some money to study and live in the most culturally diverse and art rich city in the world, instead of buying me a celebratory drink!

So here is the dealio, when I first transferred into Fontbonne University I took Theatre Appreciation. One of our class discussions was about William Shakespeare and the Globe Theatre in London. I was told that the present day Globe Theatre isn’t actually the original; they discovered the original Globe but are unable to uncover all of the foundation because it’s under another historical building from a couple hundred years later. The idea that something was so old fascinated me and I quickly fell more in love with London.  London has always interested me, especially since I’m from a family of stagehands, directors, stage managers and everything theatre the draw to London and its phenomenal theatre scene is natural. Since making the initial decision to feed my traveling itch while not wanting to get behind in school I have been researching how to get myself there.

I have since been accepted into Webster University’s study abroad program at Regent’s University London. The school is absolutely stunning, in the most ideal location of North London, and offers amazing courses and opportunities that are unique to London and Regent’s. Now, what’s left to figure out is the financial piece, the only remaining hurdle. I’ve been working non-stop and trying to save as much money as possible whether it’s at Square One Brewery and Distillery filing, various positions at Mustard Seed Theatre, and Theatre Assistant hours and work study through Fontbonne. So far I’ve been able to combine federal and state financial aid, scholarships, money I’ve saved up from working, and help from my parents to help cover tuition and room and board. So I ask for your help in aiding for additional expenses of this huge step for myself in lieu of drinks that I will probably never finish. If you so choose to donate and want to keep up with my adventures I will be setting up a blog to share what I have been up to. So I will send off that information as soon as I have it set up. Thanks so much for any help you are able to give in helping me achieve this amazing experience!
