Sean Kilpatrick Elite's AAU Journey
Tax deductible
Sean Kilpatrick Elite Basketball Club is working hard to reach their goal!
In 2013 and 2014 a group of boys came together because of their love for the game of basketball. They were chosen by an AAU team to play together because of their grit, determination and skill. Unfortunately, the AAU team’s organization dismantled in 2015 but by then the boys knew they had something special together - and did not want to let their team go. For that reason we worked hard to keep the boys together – playing on their own AAU self-funded team with all volunteer coaches. They have had great results. In 2016 the team traveled to the AAU DII National Championship and finished 5th in the country. Self-funding is very difficult as expenses mount quickly for necessities such as uniforms, tournaments and practice time. Additionally, we have families who are in need of help in paying for travel expenses. We have been fortunate to get Sean Kilpatrick of the Brooklyn Nets to work with us – and allow us to use his name for our team name - but that is not enough. As we do not have the financial resources of our rival, big and prominent AAU programs, we need funding and greatly appreciate any donation you can give. We have formed the non-profit – Sean Kilpatrick Elite Basketball Club – and now simply want to provide our boys with the chance to continue playing together – in the game they love – basketball.
Our team – SK Elite - has our eye on the prize – finishing on top at the AAU DII National Championship in July 2017 in Greensboro North Carolina. However, we will need lots of practice and tournament games to get us in shape for NC – and there is a cost for all of that – as well as for the National Championship event itself. We would greatly appreciate any help you can provide us in reaching our goal! Thank you!
