You can use it for for CosPlay! Or recreate you your own take on classic sci-fi sword duels like Star Wars or create your own intergalactic futuristic story of good versus evil locked in a sci-fi sword battle!
I got the idea many years ago by watching an auto extending/retracting car antanae. My design works differently, but that's what sparked the idea for the mechanics of it!
FINALLY! Ever since Star Wars first introduced the Light Saber back in the 70’s there is now something that comes really close to the energy rod that extends from the handle for the battle at the push of a button, and retracts back into the handle at the push of a button when the battle is won!
This is gonna take role play dueling to a whole new level!!!
The Fling out telescopic rods that have to be pushed back in manually kind of tax the experience. (They don't do that in the movie!)
The glow rod that always stays protruded or the ones that have to be attached and detached also taxes the experience. (That's not how it is in the movies)
Of course these things are fantasy, but if the role player really wants to get into the game, let’s bring the accessories a little closer to home!
And my invention does!
Basically it’s an auto extending auto retracting baton.
But for your Sci-Fi / Fantasy story it could be a Lighting Rod, Laser Razor, Laser Blade, Star Sword, etc.!
For my story, the Flood Chronicles, it’s called a Cinder-Blade!
Manufacturing isn't cheap.!
Creating the molds for material like Polycarbonate is gonna cost. I can't just use any cylinders. These have to be customized with specific attributes to perform their function.
I’m hoping you will be the contributors, because I would really like to keep as much of this product made in America as much as I can. I know that’s a lofty desire now a days but I really hope I can at least play a small part in employing Americans to assemble the parts here.
And of course It will be designed to illuminate and have sound effects, and durable enough to do some role play dueling with!
I’m shooting for $12,000 to get these manufactured.
I’m counting on you! I feel super blessed to be able to share this idea with you!
Blessings to you and yours! Thank you for finding this worth contributing to, and I trust you’ll enjoy how it will enhance your Sci-Fi role play!
Howdy Folks! Pardon me for the space between updates! I want to only give updates that show progress, but haven't had the progress to show. Here is where we are. In December you blessed the project with about $1500.00!!! That was enabled me to afford to have costume components made. The company that makes the components I need were very busy over the Christmas and New year Season. This slowed things down. When they finally got to my order, the order came out wrong! How this happened is not really known. Because they were able to make the 1st component correctly earlier in 2018! I gave them the same information, and it worked just fine! All that had to be done for the next components was to follow the 1st model in a gradual stage manner for the next stages, but for some reason, the information was determined to be backwards according to their formula. None of us could understand why, considering that it worked for the 1st. We agreed that we can't just really on math on how this is supposed to work, but rather go by how the application demonstrates to work, and set the math by that. During the course of the R&D meeting they graciously reworked the figures and are going to manufacture new components based on the new info! Please keep this in your prayers, that this will succeed, But The Lord's will be done. Thank you so much for supporting and helping the project get this far! You are God sends! -Zo
