SAVE SUMMER

Hi, my name is Gina and I'm with Nevada Voters For Animals.  We are asking for help to Save Summer a little 10 month old, chorky (chi/yorki) mix who has suffered a broken back and broken pelvis and is in very bad shape.  She was brought to our attention through a facebook group which helps animals. A video was posted of her dragging her back legs and wearing a diaper. The owner was not present when the injuries were sustanined but believed they were from a dog attack.  The family willingly and lovingly relinquished Summer to save her life. We took her to Dr. Mauro at Haven Animal Hospital who assists us with charity medical cases.

Once xrays were performed the extent of her injuries was shocking. We do not believe this was a dog attack. We do not know what caused these severe spinal injuries and we have referred the information to Clark County Animal Control for further investigation.  Dr. Mauro took further xrays and sent them to the Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center.  We all believe Summer can be helped and live a happy and quality life with the right special family.  The estimate we were given for the speciality center back surgery, follow ups, and therapy will cost between $4,000 to $6,000 dollars.   We NEED your help to make this happen.  The fees raised will pay for the surgery to the Specialty Center and whatever outstanding bills there are at Haven.
