Save Circus Lions From Colombia

Tax deductible

Hi guys;

This is Eduardo Serio, Founder and President of The Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation in Mexico; The largest Sanctuary for Big Felines on Planet Earth. Some months ago, at a conference in a University, 2 students approached me and told me about 6 Lions in Colombia that need to get rescued from their cages at the circus. We worked together to get the paper work and we got it (Some of it has to be renewed) but we faced a problem: We need around 60,000 US Dollars to fly them and build their habitats. Having to take care for around 230 Big Felines, I CAN NOT dispose of this amount just to rescue 6 Lions, not because they're not worthy, but because there are too many financial responsibilities at the Foundation/Sanctuary (I have never received one single cent as salary or any other way of financial retribution, quite the contrary). So we decided to make this campaign so that everybody can contribute. Trust me, there's nothing on this Universe as Magical as saving lives in a collective way. Having said this, I will leave you with the presentation that the two students, Bernardo and Oscar wrote for you. Please make an effort and remember that we are all part of this ship called "Planet Earth". We stay afloat or we sink together. THINK BLUE...

Hi, we are Bernardo Solano and Oscar Espitia, and we are studying International Business at Tec de Monterrey at Mexico City.

We are concerned about the species in our planet and how we humans are damaging them.

In order to add our part to stop this situation is why we are trying to make this project possible and we must start somewhere and that's what this project is all about.

One of our greatest passions is animal kingdom and we want to spread it to everyone so we can get their help. And this is our starting point.

What is this project about?

This project is about rescuing 6 lions from Barranquilla- Colombia and bring them to the mexican foundation named Black Jaguar-White Tiger. This happened because the colombian government stated the law 1638 which forbids the use of animals at any circus. But they gave the option to the circus people to give them their animals so they could keep them instead of killing them. We have spoken with Eduardo Serio, the president of the Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation about this situation and they agreed to accept them at their foundation and take well care of them.

As you know the Black Jaguar-White Tiger foundation will treat of them the way they should be treated in the best conditions, habitat and the best food. We have been working with them very close and they agreed to get involved in rescue these lions.

The lions have been living in this cage since a year ago, so imagine how desperate they are to get out of there and run o even walk on grass and in a real habitat.
Since they were babies they were treated as entertainment objects; they weren't the animals they should've been. The people in charge of the circus took off their claws and their fings so they wouldn't hurt them during their trainings.

The next step, is rescuing them so the people start being conscious about the animals and their future presence in our planet. Also making them think that animals are not pets and they weren't born to entretain us with stupid tricks they are forced to do.

What's the money for?

The money we are asking for, it's going to be used to pay for all the requirements that our customs agent quoted us. All the things we are going to pay will make the lions pass through the authorities without any problem.
About the documents, we already have them with us and with all the requirements both mexican and colombian governments.

Even though the mexican foundation agreed to accept the 6 colombian lions, we don't have the 60,000 usd we need to pay for all the transportation expenses. That's why we need your help to save this 6 beautifull lions. Please donate, we need you. We and the lions will be eternally grateful with your donations.

VERSION EN ESPANOL

Hola a todos;

Estaremos eternamente agradecidos.
