Sam's Story - Fight for life

In April 2018 Sam and her family were with hit with the bombshell that she bad breast cancer.
Her diagnosis was stage 4 inflammatory breast cancer which is extremely rare and aggressive.
She has been undergoing gruelling chemotherapy for the last 3 months and will finish chemotherapy late October 2018.
The Oncologist initially talked about a mastectomy along with radiation treatment, but this is uncertain now as the cancer has spread to her liver.
Once chemotherapy ends she will continue targeting drugs and continued trips to hospitals in Exeter and Barnstaple for the rest of her life.
Her oncologist has not given her any time frame, but this is terminal meaning it cannot be cured.
Sam loves mountains and nature. She would like to spend time with her partner Matthew and their 2 children Ollie aged 9 Oscar aged 12 on a road trip to Snowdonia and the Scottish highlands.
Since her diagnosis she has had endless trips to the hospital for scans and treatments and these trips along with Sams care have caused serious financial difficulties.
Their car needs urgently replacing as it is on it’s last legs, and living in such a rural location with no form of public transport means having a car is absolutely necessary. This additional means any chance of going on a road trip is impossible for them without support.
As her friends, we want to raise this money for Sam and her family to be able to spend what time they have left making memories for her partner and their children to cherish.
We are also hoping that any additional funds can help Matt with any financial difficulties they are facing as Matt has given up work to help care for Sam and their children.
