ΣΑΜ 4th Annual Head Shaving Event

The brothers of Sigma Alpha Mu at Temple University have created this page in support of our fourth annual head-shaving event. All proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
This fundraiser was started by our brother, Xavier Perez, in honor of his mother, Maria Codd-Perez, and her battle with breast cancer. On Wednesday, October 26 from 10:00am to 4:00pm, we will be located at Alumni Circle on Liacouras Walk shaving our heads in solidarity with those afflicted with this ruthless disease. For every $100 raised, a brother of Sigma Alpha Mu will shave his head in allegiance to those who have or are currently battling breast cancer.
We strongly encourage anyone who has suffered, or known someone who has suffered, to participate in the event with us. We are also accepting donations through this page; the proceeds of which will go towards funding cancer research, medical care for those battling the disease, and creating a community to support all who are affected by it. Most of us have been affected in some way by cancer. With your aid, loved ones might finally find ease after fighting, and future generations will never have to go through these painful trials. That being said, we invite all who are reading this to share our page and get friends and family involved.
