Sami's Home Repair Fund

My name is Jessica and I am raising money for a wonderful, generous, and truly genuine person and friend Samantha Keyes. If you have ever met Sami, you are instantaneously wowed by her "spunky" and happy attitude. Just being around her brings a smile to your face.

She is an extremely hard working teacher that values friendships and the good nature of people. It pains me to see such an amazing person struggle with unfortunate situations as she has in the past. Between the loss of her beloved Grandfather, "friends" taking advantage of her giving spirit, to frozen pipes that burst, flooding her house, all the way to spontaneous black mold growth, she has had a rough few years emotionally and financially.

Nevertheless, her spirits are always high, she laughs through the problem, and she continues to work hard. She is certainly not a person that seeks any type of handout, thus the reason for me creating this donation site on her behalf. Better to ask forgiveness than permission, right Sami?

With the most recent rainfall flooding several areas in the Eastern Shore (and continuing), she was one of the many who were affected. As you can see in the photo above, her entire basement wall collapsed inside the home. She has no power, no running water, and a giant whole in her house. Not only is her home uninhabitable, but all of her belongings have also been damaged. Her homeowner's insurance company is not covering the repair since she does not have flood insurance, leaving her to fend for herself. On anyone's salary, you know that this kind of repair is a heavy financial burden, and too much for someone to bear on their own.

Anything you can donate will help tremendously. All funds will be graciously accepted and put towards the repair of her home.
