Four years ago, as a sophomore at Saint Ursula Academy highschool, I decided to start a babysitting club to connect SUA girls with babysitting jobs in the Cincinnati area. As my service grew, I knew it had the
potential to become great; however, I struggled coming up with the next steps necessary to expand. Luckily, I met my business partner, Laura, a local Cincinnati mom, and together we created SaferSit. At this time, SaferSit has over 200 sitters and serves almost 500 families in the Greater Cincinnati Area. We are creating a safer and more convenient way for both sitters and families to connect!
Currently, sitters and families use www.safersit.com to apply for jobs and book sitters. However, developing a mobile app will take SaferSit to the next level and increase convenience for both sitters and families. The cost of creating this app is around $40,000 so I am looking to raise $5,000, which would cover 1/4 of my portion. As a college student, it is difficult to come up with such a large sum of money. I would be so grateful if friends, family, or other entrepreneurs donate even just $10 to my cause! Entreprenuership and SaferSit have become a large part of who I am and I want to continue expanding the business I have put so much work into.
