Homelessness and poverty affects millions of individuals and families in this country.

During Winter 2017-2018, a test of the HHI House for the HHI House for the Homeless Design Study at Fort Lewis College Homeless (HHI House) will be tested for snow loading and wind loads. A major structural engineering firm has performed computerized analysis that indicates the integrity of HHI House is “good to go”.

Architect Stuart Ohlson designed the original refugee shelter for Humanitarian House International seven years ago, for equatorial regions of the developing world.

Fort Lewis College (FLC) Engineering Design & Practice junior class commences studies on January 8, 2018.  HHI House will be designed by students of Engineering 315 Course at FLC. Design Report is expected no later than April 20, 2018.

HHI House is a viable alternative to tents and tiny homes—with built-in bed bunks in separate spaces!

Large - Family of 6
Medium - Family of 4 or Two Couples
Small - Couple or single persons

Includes living quarters; adapted for bath/shower and kitchenette.

Help us get approval for HHI House—a safe, lockable shelters for villages for people in Homelessness and those in Poverty!

Thank you for joinging our cause.

SWShelter4Homeless is the name of our study project a.k.a., HHI PVC Tube & Insulated Panel Structure.

The Southwest Shelter for the Homeless will challenge the look and comfort of a Tiny Home.

SWShelter4Homeless has beds at floor level—instead of in the loft. It is more spacious than a wood Tiny Home. Termite proof, mold mildew and rot resistant. Waterproof, too!

Sets up with four people in one day. How long does a tiny home take to construct? Cost is very competitive.

Best of all, you don’t need a lift or trailer to haul this unit away. Just disassemble it and put it into the 15-Ft. Length case it came in. Lightweight!

SWSHELTER4HOMELESS is the solution for emergency shelter in disaster areas of the country!

Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) will be manufactured by Big Sky R-Control in Montana who has committed to partner with us to make this shelter affordable at below $5,000 each.

The photo is of a large family size. It will hold a shower & toilet, living area, food storage, small airlines type kitchen.

The roof will be Galvanized Steel and the entire structure will be insulated. It is raised above the ground to keep out water. The SIPs are termite resistant, rot and mold mildew proof.

Totally portable - Disassembled and returned to the crate, the entire structure can moved to another location for a new setup.
