Hi, I'm Mia Mason Porter, Proud 1988 Alumna of SouthWest DeKalb High School, in Decatur, Ga!!
It has come to my attention that the 2016 Girl's Basketball STATE Championship Team, has NOT Received their Championship Rings Due to lack of funding for their Basketball Program.
If you're like ME, you know that this is UNACCEPTABLE!!
When I was in High School, I remember being a Football and Basketball Cheerleader . During these years, the girls' Basketball team never truly were appreciated as athletes, nor did they get the proper recognition at PEP Rally's and had low attendance at their games!
We can make a DIFFERENCE NOW!!
Each of these female superior athletes , and their coaches, deserve their Championship rings!
The cost of the rings for the SOUTHWEST DEKALB HIGH SCHOOL PANTHERS Girl's 2016 State Championship Team is $195.00 each. There were 15 players on varsity, two managers and five coaches for a total of $4,290.
******Our goal is to raise $6000 to be able to not only purchase the rings, but to also provide a parade featuring the Championship team!
******By September 15th 2016,
A $10 donation from 600 concerned, charitable friends would be HIGHLY appreciated and would contribute these Female Athletes' Belief that they are VALUABLE!!
