FBC Sutherland Springs Shooting

$160,014 of $180,000 goal

Raised by 1,740 people in 16 months

This is a CERTIFIED page where our donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE and VERIFIED to go ONLY to The First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs.  We are one of the few GoFundMe Pages that the Church has endorsed on their own webpage.  Below, I have listed links to news organizations who have vetted myself and this page as well as other official ways to give to the church.

The First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs shootings have taken the lives of over two dozen out of an entire community of less than 400.  It is a small church in a small town.  There will be enormous medical, funeral, rebuilding and related costs for the parish to bear as they recover from this tragedy.

I decided to set up this page because the church's website was crashed/unstable due to overwhelming traffic.  I was unable to donate to them directly and I wanted to immediately donate cash to the church. This page allowed me that privilege and allows others to donate quickly and easily until the church can sort out their own funding page.

This page is Certified by GoFundMe, which means that all donations through this page are tax deductible and will be sent straight to First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, Texas, EIN: 74-2193317 where they can use it for their parishioners’ costs as they see fit.

Please be generous.  And, don't forget that you can be of great help by just sharing this campaign with your friends and family on all of your social media platforms. Thank you.

About Me: I am a real person.  My name is Kori Crow and I live and own a business in Austin, Texas.  You can message me and I will email or call you back to answer any questions you may have.  I started this campaign off with my own money.  I have notified the church that I have set this up for their benefit and will continue to keep them updated.  I cannot receive, touch, nor manipulate the funds. Your donations are put into an escrow charity account, less GoFundMe's standard processing fees, and will be automatically distributed directly to the church.

Update on the Church’s site and links:  The church's own website at  http://www.ssfb.org/ does contain a paypal link to donate, but has still been unstable due to high traffic.  The dontation link from their facebook page links to the much, much more stable  https://www.paypal.com/us/fundraiser/charity/163094 where the registered EIN numbers match.  We will continue to leave this GoFundMe account up for the time being up as an alternative direct giving option.  All of the funds donated here will be delivered to the church just the same.

Many people have asked if I would be willing to physically accept checks, condolence cards, or other correspondence on behalf of the church because of how overwhelmed they are right now.  Yes, I would be happy to and I will personally deliver them to the church when they have the capacity to receive them.

If you would like to donate by check, please make it out to FBC Sutherland Springs and memo "Relief Fund".
DO NOT make the check out to my name.

You can mail them to:

First Baptist Church
C/O Kori Crow
4507 Avenue D
Austin,  TX 78751

As time goes on, and the church is more able to handle the volume and influx of correspondence, their mailing address is:

First Baptist Church
P.O. Box 115
Sutherland Springs, Texas 78161

It's hard to imagine how, only ten days later, an event this significant can fade from the headlines. Though our attention spans may be limited, the support this church family will need to recover will require long term commitment. Please donate and share.

I've been talking with leaders in the church and the local government today. Fraud in fundraising is rampant including several dummy church websites. Please donate through a certified and trusted organiser. We want the victims to actually receive our generosity.
