On July 10th, 2017, Sergeant Talon Leach, Sergeant Joseph Murray, Sergeant Chad Jenson, Sergeant Dietrich Schmieman, Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Ryan Lohrey, Staff Sergeant Robert Cox, Staff Sergeant William Kundrat, from Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) passed away when their C-130 did not bring them safely to their destination…
Those who have experienced a grievous loss understand how critical it is to support each other. Having personally been mentored, trained, and cared for by one of the seven men lost that day, and because of the tight-knit bond that MARSOC Operators have for each other, I am conducting a 140+ mile ruck to the highest peak in the Colorado Rockies on Aug 10th (SOF.REVERENCE Instagram) to honor what one of their family members wanted – to share all of their stories. This GoFundMe has been started to support the families of the fallen by encouraging all who learn about these men during the multi-day movement to take a moment and revere the loss of such priceless individuals. If you are unable to show your reverence for these men through your own unique actions but feel called to do something, please consider donating to the this cause and spreading the word to others so the stories of these men can be known. If 400,001 people see this information and each donate $1, we will match what the military offers families for the loss of a single life.
