Stop Killing Innocent People
Donation protected
On March 30, 2010 my beautiful daughter Brishell Tashé Jones along with several other young people were gunned down in Washington DC with 3 different caliber weapons, one being an AK-47 style assault rifle.
Brishell was only 16 years old when her very positive, productive, promising young life was tragically and violently stolen.

In the midst of this tragedy Stop Killing Innocent People "SKIP" was formed and my life changed forever. SKIP is a proactive prevention and intervention project aimed at urban youth and young adults. This project consists of behavior modification workshops, and sponsoring cultural and enrichment programs, such as an annual event called "Tragedy Effects All - A Community of Healing". This annual event was formerly called "A Mothers Tea" for the mothers that lost their children to gun violence. This event brings together everyone that has been effected by gun violence in the Washington DC area to bring about healing and an awareness of the need for legislation to keep high powered assault rifles off our street.

The money raised will be used to sponsor youth workshops that teach conflict resolution in the communities in Washington DC that lacks the resources needed to improve the quality of young peoples lives.
