Tax deductible
Help pave the way towards a brighter future for Frederick County Public School students experiencing homelessness.
New Horizons Frederick - Summer 2016 is modeled after a successful long-impactful program in Baltimore County. This innovative five-week long program incorporates academic training, mentoring, job skills training, and summer employment for these children at risk.
Planning is currently underway and includes:
· Morning academic programming to include credit recovery and acceleration.
· Afternoon program devoted to developing and strengthening workforce skills, leadership abilities and teamwork competencies.
· Job skills training and summer employment opportunities provided in the afternoons through Frederick County Workforce Services.
· Meals and supplies to be provided at no costs to students.
· Supplemental programming includes access to select summer camp activities and field trips provided by the YMCA of Frederick County.
Our homeless teen homeless population is under greater risk.
You can help make a difference in a child's life by helping to fund a scholarship for a student. All donations are tax-deductible.
Will you please help us provide a safe environment that supports these children’s academic and personal development during the crucial summer months?
