If We Can Build It They Will Come

"I was told by several friends that nobody does "GoFundMe" anymore due to scams and other  things but I thought I would give it a try I honestly don't know any other way".

We are at a crossroads of two different paths and we need to decide NOW how our non profit rescue ranch will continue to operate in the future. Let me explain in detail how this all works. As a family of 2 beautiful pitbulls and a outstanding group of volunteers, ever since I was a kid I loved animals and always wanted to help the ones that were suffering. As I grew older i greatly felt the need to start rescuing and helping abandoned and abused dogs around the country, that's how the family owned non profit paws family ranch started. We decided that it is best if the rescue had its own building on our own property that was separate from my house, so that all the rescued dogs could have the love and sense of security they never were able to receive. The benefits of having a facility to take in so many more rescues and believe me when I say we are in need of so many more around the world, that would allow us to take in so many more  mistreated and abused dogs!when it comes to going out just about every day doing what we love. It is so difficult for me and my family to continue operating out of the will and care in our hearts and our back yard pretty much. I have discussed a building a mini facility with a few contractors that would be placed on our property, but it is way too expensive to purchase it and the extra land. I would need to make it big enough to house all these sweet dogs that we care for now and in the future. it's just not possible for us to do it on our own.  It just doesn’t make sense for us to have to drive away somewhere to tend to the dogs we have saved but don't have room for on my property, and it would further complicate things as opposed to making them easier. Our  Ranch has lost alot of clientel due to rescue dogs being allowed at my residence. Even though we do not allow sick dogs to be around others until they are healthy again, some of our clients did not want their dogs to be among the rescues at all and therefore we have lost them as clients which of course has cost us income that cannot be reclaimed. It's very, very difficult to please everyone and it gets more and more difficult to operate everything under one roof. We are at full capacity and not enough room for our rescues and we have to plan for that and scramble with all of our rescue dogs to get them all moved to foster homes and loving families so that we can make sure we have room for our future daily rescues who are in need of our help. When you don't have enough foster homes or familys to adopt and take in these loving dogs this can be very very challenging and very stressful. Im always looking for more foster homes but I don’t feel it’s the solution for all of the problems that we have had with them in the past. If we had our own legit facility/building. The rescue dogs would have their own building, they would have their own space, we could have our own isolation room for dogs that might be sick with an upper respiratory infection. We would have a place to have intake days from the mill auctions with the 15 rescues or so we take in from there and not try to figure out how to fit all of them in pretty much my back yard, while trying to conduct business as well with other foster homes and families. We would have a place for adoptions to happen and a place for volunteers to come and pick up and return dogs from vet appointments - once again without disrupting my daily life routines on a regular basis. It has become more difficult to do and has become more stressful to accomplish both things while working at my other job on the side for extra income, and a successful rescue team and ranch at the same time - in the same building. If we had a rescue building we could plan to go to an auction or drive around the country to rescue dogs on a regular basis regardless of how many rescues we have or might accompany in the future. We could pull immediately from shelters regardless of them being sick with upper respiratory infections, diseases, mites, exc, because we have an immediate place for them to go where they can be isolated and feel safe. The opportunitys in having our own facility are endless. We could have volunteers come to the building to help take care of the rescue dogs and this would not cause a conflict like it does now with volunteers stepping into our Ranch because our insurance doesn’t allow that. My family members and friends and there friends who come to our ranch would be able to walk freely over and visit with the rescue dogs in a secure environment, photograph them and show them the love they never witnessed by another human before. We have never asked for help until now, and we are in greatly need of it. If you could only see the Dogs we have rescued, loved and saved time and time again. And the complete transformation they go through once they find out what love and care really feels like, nothing in this world to me is better then that. So we have no choice but to ask for help. I have never been into social media or any other type of media for that matter. A friend of mine told me about sites like this (GoFundMe) and (crowdfunding) where I can ask for help so I thought I would give it a try. We have been doing this for a long time but know for sure that this is what we want to do for the rest of our lives. A friend of mine just helped me create a Facebook page, and a Twitter account so I'll be able to let everyone know and see the progress and life changes there funds would do to all my present and future loving rescues. Every dollar and cent would be greatly appreciated! There are so many other things we have sacrificed and wouldn't trade it for nothing.
